As some of you know, my mother is in a nursing home, my aunt is in assisted living, and I have children, grandchildren, a husband, and a large home, plus I’m still running my interior design and window treatment businesses. I realized I needed to carve out the time and space to find a way to get more information to help me prepare better for this phase of my own life, and figured if I needed this information, then others might, too.
So, I started an Instagram Live Show, The Third Phase, on @loricarpenterdesigns where each Tuesday at 12:30 pm CT, I invite a guest with experience or expertise in the areas of home, health, or wealth to join me for a 30-minute conversation. I hope you’ll join me to listen to the show whenever you have time.
Afterwards, I send out a newsletter with key takeaways from our conversations and the replays are hosted on my YouTube channel here. In addition, I started a Facebook Group community, which gives all of us the opportunity to continue the conversations for further learning, community and connection.
The mission of The 3rd Phase is to empower everyone aged 60 and beyond to live with vibrancy, purpose and joy throughout this meaningful chapter of life.

Through my weekly Instagram Live Show, my Facebook Group Community, my social channels, the various Facebook Groups I belong to as a member, and my membership in the NKBA, the Interior Design Society and the Vacation Rental Designers Collective, I have a very large audience and deep connections with consumers who are 60+ years old and interior designers that specify products for the 60+ demographic.
